Batman: Arkham Origins Game Review

In order to prepare for this July's Batman Return to Arkham remaster, I took the time to replay Arkham Origins, and review it. When I first beat Arkham Origins, I celebrated it as the best Arkham game on the last generation console. But now that I have officially beaten all the Arkham games on the Xbox 360, and have 240% completed Arkham Knight on the Xbox One, I can't say the same. Arkham Origins is still an amazing masterpiece, but it's not as good as porsay Arkham Asylum or Knight. Let's start with the flaws.

The main problem I had was the story, it turned into a very steady rhythm and was predictable except for the one twist towards the end of the game. But it seems that not how this game was designed, but that may not be for the best, since all the Arkham games have been about the story and being the Batman. Arkham Origins only accomplishes half of this, and feels a little weak compared to other Arkham games. The next is the little faults in the combat A.I., nothing is perfect, I understand that. But sometimes Batman will just attempt to hit air, and you will lose your combo. This may have happened in other Arkham titles, but it happens far too often here.
Now let's begin with the good things, the combat and predator have all been nicely rehashed again. And the presentation looks nice, however it doesn't look as good as Arkham City which came out in 2011, and this in 2013. But the best part about how they improved the Arkham gameplay, was the boss fights. Rocksteady has been only known for one amazing boss fight, the Mr. Freeze one. But here, Warner Bros. Montreal has four amazing boss fights. The fight with Deathstroke, Copperhead, and the two encounters with Bane. These moments wash away the faults and what remains is an amazing experience that makes you Batman. I award this game an amazing 9.6 out of 10.
