On my Ps Vita, I downloaded the beta of Ps Now, the service where you can play all sorts of PS3 games. I used the free trial of this service and played Uncharted 3, and Batman: Arkham Origins all on the Ps Vita. I am here now after the file was corrupted to give you my thoughts on my experience.
Let me first say that this is a brilliant idea, making players able to play PS3 games on their Vita and PS4 for the first time. The first thing I noticed was that you cannot download these games or purchase them separately. You have to play them with internet, and pay the absurd price tag. Twenty dollars a month? In 7.5 months, I could probably buy a whole PS3! But the games all run quite smoothly, if it decides to. The service requires so much internet that it constantly crashes, which really affects gameplay, if a red circle is flashing on your screen, whilst you beat up Deathstroke in Arkham Origins. But when it decides to work, it does more than do its job.. Sometimes I could play Uncharted 3 for about 2 hours without a single crash, and a smooth frame rate and graphics look the way they should. I was enjoying the service and even considering subscribing to it, until my file corrupted. I was going to continue playing Arkham Origins when I entered the application and it said the file was corrupt. I tried to find out what I could do with it, but I didn't find any answers. I couldn't delete it, so I had to reset my entire Vita to remove it so I would not be charged when my trial was up. Before it became corrupt, I was immensely enjoying the service, even if it crashed often and the price tag was absurd. But now, I am afraid I can not recommend this service to anyone planning to use it on the Vita, perhaps on PS4 it will work better, but that is not the case here. If you are truly desperate for the PS3 exclusives, buy a PS3 yourself, it will save you time and money and will make you more happy. I give this service a 5.1 out of 10.
