Harry, A History is a full recount of a fangirl's journey of Harry Potter through midnight release parties and life stories, but falls short over other documentaries. Harry, A History is written by Melissa Anelli, who interviewed J.K. Rowling herself for the introduction and for data to write the book. Unfortnately though, J.K.'s Rowling involvement here feels lacking , underwhelming, and disappointing, as it rarely focuses around J.K. Rowling, and the information it does provide could have been bested by A Year in Life which would take around half the time to watch rather than read Harry, A History.

However there is no denying the Potter fan energy that courses through the book, you feel the sense of a Hogwarts of Potter fans when the original books were released. These sections fortunately take around 60% of the book, but the remaining 40% are lacking and drag the book from a mere enjoyable fan journey, to a downright boring journey of fangirling. There are far too many life stories implemented, and they are downright irrelevant to the Potter Journey, and that is what the book is about. Overall Harry, A History is a whirlwind of life tales, with a sprinkle of Harry Potter fan energy, for that reason we award Harry, A History by Melissa Anelli a mediocre 5.3 out of 10.
