Batman: Arkham Knight has been out for over a year now, and was my most anticipated game of all time, even if I didn't get to play it at release, since I didn't own a next generation console at that time. Well, now it's my favorite game of all time, and here is why.

Arkham Knight has a fantastic Batman story in its wires, in fact I was shocked when I heard the story was written by Sefton Hill, the game director, it balances all the essential components nicely, while still having a few tricks up its sleeves. The Arkham Knight character is one of the best DC villains, and Scarecrow is as menacing as ever, and no villain featured in the game got the short end of the stick here. The next amazing thing is the improved gameplay, that has been refined over Arkham Knight's three excellent predecessors. Combat is flashier, and feels more refined and adds new enemies like the medic that had me change up my combat styles. Predator has far more enemies, and new ways to take out the thugs to experiment with and master. The graphics, oh my gosh, the graphics are simply stunning. This is in my opinion the best looking game not only of the Arkham series, but of any game I have ever played, and it runs just as well.

But the most impressive thing about this game is the level of content it has, the main campaign takes around 15 hours to beat than you can add on 10 hours of side missions, not even including the Riddler's treasure hunt. And it was such a great move of Rocksteady to let you beat all the missions to rescue Catwoman from her bomb necklace, instead of unlocking each mission by a hundred trophies at a time, and speaking of trophies it adds 20 hours of gameplay, there aren't as many as in Arkham City, but it feels better and more fun as you search for bright green trophies. So that is 45 hours of gameplay just from the standard campaign with the side missions, then you can double that with new game plus, then you have the challenge maps, needless to say this game has more than 95 hours of gameplay. Yeah, 95 hours. It's obvious this game is a flat out 10 out of 10.
