Today I beat Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, yes the third installment in the Uncharted series and it is an amazing game, with a thrilling, cinematic plot, great gameplay, and an over the top mission to achieve cinematic gaming.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception puts our protagonist, Nathan Drake into a bizarre and wild goose chase throughout locations to find Iram of the Pillars or the Atlantis of the Sands, supposed to be composed of immeasurable wealth. Naughty Dog has always been one of the best gaming storytellers out there, and their writers shine here, and dialogue all sounds and feels right, and it moves the pace along at the beginning, but there are some abrupt transitions and sometimes the story doesn't feel as important as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves' story did, but there are still many thrills in store in Drake's Deception.
Once again, the graphics are astonishing, it is quite simply the best looking game of the Uncharted collection on PS4, the fire effects are bright, and the lighting effects feel so real and the colors have enough variety, to make for some of the most eye candy filled games of all time. The next great thing about Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception are the set pieces, Uncharted 2's set pieces were some of the best of gaming, but when you see a plane rip to shreds, an intense horse chase, and a graveyard of boats being sunk, it's hard to deny that these are better than those of Uncharted 2's set pieces.
Now let's get into the gameplay, once again it revolves around platforming and third person cover based shooting, puzzles are very rare only happening in the first third of the game, and the puzzles here as usual don't take long to beat. The shooting is fun as usual and does not feel repetitive at all, sometimes the enemies overwhelm you and as you try to dive into cover, the cover AI takes a real long time to get into cover, and by that time, the shots have hit you, and you are on the ground like a rag doll and the death music starts playing. Platforming is improved, you always seem know where to go, and the hedges are clear and there are some tense climbing sections littered throughout the game. For all these reasons, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is an amazing and memorable game that receives a 9.6 out of 10.
