Why the Percy Jackson property is a gold mine

Let's admit it, even though I loved Sea of Monsters the Percy Jackson movies were a disaster, even Fox has come to terms with that, due to being so far off the books and feeling more than a bit like Harry Potter, even Fandango says it. But as Fox stumbled with the property it is actually a gold mine, an entire film universe could happen here or just a franchise but it would still be a massive hit, as long as you make it tight to the original book, and do the fans and Riordan justice, have Riordan be involved and everyone would be excited, but we're just waiting for the announcement but Fox currently has to wrap the Maze Runner before digging up another gold mine.
