What to expect at SDCC?

San Diego Comic Con is nearly upon us, and I am here to speculate on what we can expect from SDCC in the gaming, movies, or even books world. In 6 days Comic Con will begin and I have already done a post on the DC movie comic con side of things but what about other fandoms? First, we all know the Killing Joke animated film, what looks to be the biggest DC animated event in a while, will premiere at Comic Con, so we can expect some reviews then the Fathom events will happen on July 25, then the digital release on July 26. I can also say that Fantastic Beasts will be having a panel and I am more than sure of there will be a trailer showcased at Comic Con, while we may have been getting tons of featurettes and viral videos, we haven't had a trailer since the MTV Movie Awards in 2016. Also the sequel to 2011's The Adventures of Tintin could be announced since the last word we got about the project was that Speilberg was waiting for Jackson to return from Middle Earth to begin the project.

An announcement of the Cursed Child adaptation could be happening this Comic Con, since WB just recently filed a film trademark for the Cursed Child, also maybe Middle Earth? Shadow of Mordor 2? The Silmarillion film trilogy? However, both of these don't sound very likely since if Shadow of Mordor would be getting a sequel, E3 would have been the time to announce it rather than at Comic Con, and the Silmarillion is just too complicated and out of reach for a general audience. But I hope Middle Earth gets an appearance. Now for the games, I speculate that both Arkham VR and Injustice 2 will be making an appearance, that is for a fact. Spiderman PS4, no, the WB Montreal game could get announced.
Now onto literature, good old books, well we know JK Rowling will be at the Fantastic Beasts panel, so maybe some sort of announcement, and James Dashner will be at Comic Con to promote the Fever Code so some announcement about a new series could be expected.
