In celebration of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child script's release, HBB Reviews is reviewing each of the Harry Potter books. The magic begins with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, written by J.K. Rowling.

Harry Potter has come a long way and so has his first adventure, sprouting out of a woman's imagination on a train ride, becoming one of the most iconic and beloved children books of all time. But after six sequels and three companion books, how those this title still hold up? Unquestionably, this is the most magical installment in the Harry potter series, it is a fun, entertaining, spellbinding tale, that is unquestionably one of the best books of the generation.
First the magical world of Harry Potter sweeps you in, and keeps you fascinated by every new thing Harry comes across, and the characters only make things better. From Ron to Professor Snape, each character feels new and unique, something some books fall into, such as Magnus Chase: The Sword of Summer. The dialogue also feels well rounded for each character, and it pulls you in entirely into the world that sometimes you forget, you're in your home or school or wherever you may be, reading this wonderful book.
The story itself is also excellent, it has a grounded level of suspense, but feels fun, especially at the heart warming beginning. No spoilers here, but the massive plot twist at the end, will have your jaw dropped. The only flaw with the book, is that it feels far too short in length, barely scraping the 300 page mark, the plot sometimes feel rushed, especially during the third act. But overall, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is an amazing, thrilling, fun, and spellbinding story, that is a must own, whatever you hate or love books. It is the most magical modern classic to date.
