Tomorrow! Tomorrow, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition DVD, Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray 3D, and Ultra-HD 4K Blu-Ray, will hit store shelves, and I am so excited for this. So excited, since I haven't seen the film since March. Since I am only allowed to see a movie twice at the maximum, and I rushed to see it again, so I couldn't see it a third or fourth time. Now I can see it again, and I get to see this Ultimate Cut, which adds 30 minutes to the experience, and reviews of this cut have been remarkably more positive than the theatrical cut. Reviews, sigh. That is what this final post in the Batman V Superman Ultimate Edition Countdown is going to be about. The reviews of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Now look, some of the flaws that people pointed out in the film, are reasonable, and make sense, if you agree with them. But some critics' perceptions of Batman V Superman were unbearably unreasonable. For example a very common and frequent flaw that these reviews will say is that the film is too dark and grim. But what other DC movie has this trait, now let's correct that, what trilogy has this trait? Yes, the Dark Knight trilogy by Christopher Nolan. Those films were extremely dark and grim, especially the Dark Knight. And what did critics think of the Dark Knight? They loved it, in fact they were ranting about how it didn't get a Best Picture nomination for an Oscar. It's sitting at a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, where BVS is sitting at what? A 27%?
It's these types of critical reception alongside some poor marketing choices, but really it's the critical reception that destroyed Batman V Superman. Critics can no longer be trusted entirely, their reviews are all opinions, everyone has different opinions. And now so many of these reviews flooded the internet, fans and the general audience, are highly discouraged by watching this movie. For example when Batman V Superman had its premiere at theaters on Thursday night, one press went out to say that many people didn't read their review. This is pure making people bias against Batman V Superman. I'm not saying critics shouldn't exist, but the general audience should not entirely rely on them. BVS didn't even make it to the one billion mark!
