Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Special Rehearsal Edition Script comes out in 12 days, and we're celebrating its release by reviewing all of the Harry Potter books. We did Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on Sunday, now it is time to review the second installment in J.K. Rowling's book phenomenon, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is an extremely funny, magical, and suspenseful title that exceeds its predecessor which was an instant modern classic.

Each Harry Potter book has something incredible up it sleeves, for the Sorcerer's Stone, it was just how magical it was. How it enchanted you and pulled you into the world, Chamber of Secrets takes this, and while it isn't the focus here, it remains a large part of the book, but the main focus in this book is the humor. This book is very funny, full of witty and snappy lines, and J.K. Rowling is something no haters can deny, she has the best dialogue for her characters.

The plot here is also suspenseful, and even has a horror type of spin on it. No spoilers, but if you haven't read the series, what are you doing? Like the Sorcerer's Stone there is a major plot twist at the end, and it is not predictable. It happens like a tower collapsing on you, as all the details come together, it's quite the twist. And the book does not feel rushed at all, in fact it feels like it's just the right length. The book is extremely fun, I keep reading it, just because it's pure fun, and it gets so many things right and very little wrong. In fact, I'm not sure what it gets wrong. Some characters get the short end of the stick, but I never noticed this in my previous reads, and I only discovered this by reading it now my twentieth time. Score: 9.9 out of 10.
