Maze Runner: The Death Cure comes out in.......537 days..sigh. But let's celebrate the 537 days with the review of the predecessor of the film, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials.

The first time, I saw the film...I loved it! Now after a second viewing in the theater and a viewing of my Blu-Ray of the film, I have different thoughts. First the beginning of the film is unquestionably amazing, it has a great level of suspense and ties this film in bounds with the Maze Runner. It has a flashback that opens the film where Thomas is sent into the world of the Maze and Wicked away from his mother. But when we get in the Scorch, the film lets down a little, it looks great. And has some great visual effects and action sequences, and a great new character, Jorge but a lackluster new character...Brenda. I don't like Brenda, especially the romance between Thomas and Brenda. It all feels tacked on, and unnecessary. But the film is still amazing with plenty of surprises and I award it a score of 9.0 out of 10!
