Why DC beat Marvel at SDCC 2016

1. Trailers
The main and primary reason, is because the general audience could not go to SDCC, and so much of Marvel's SDCC footage was kept within bounds, while DC released all of the trailers they showed at Comic Con.
2. Surprise
DC had a surprise appearance that Marvel did not have, the Justice League teaser and cast appearing at San Diego Comic Con.
