This is something that cannot be denied by anyone, not all of the Hogwarts houses get the spotlight they deserve. And here we are going to rank how popular and famous these houses are from the bottom up in the original Harry Potter series only.

1. Hufflepuff
This was pretty much a no-brainer, in all of the seven part Harry Potter series, Hufflepuff gets the least amount of love. And this is my house, and J.K. Rowling's house! Sure, this November's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and for those who do not know is a Harry Potter spin-off, has plenty of Hufflepuff love thrown into it. But there was one important Hufflepuff character, and he only appeared for less than a few pages in Prisoner of Azkaban, was a central character in Goblet of Fire, and then died at the end. Sigh.
2. Ravenclaw
This house is probably just as popular as Hufflepuff, but since there are more key characters here such as Cho Chang, the Patil twins, and the Grey Lady.
3. Slytherin The one and only, you know this house is more popular and key than Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff combined, but falls short of Gryffindor. It has tons of key characters, that all happen to be dark wizards other than Snape, Slughorn, and Merlin, (and maybe even Scorpius in the Cursed Child). So it seems like, if you get sorted into Slytherin, you're evil!
4. Gryffindor
The one and only, the shining light, that features all the important and main characters of the Harry Potter series. Let's list them: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, Neville, Seamus, Lavender, Ginny, Fred, George, Percy, Dean, and that is only a handful.
