Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice VS Captain America Civil War Part 2: Story

Part 2 begins! For those of you who are not up to date with this HBB Reviews showdown, we are pitting two of the biggest superhero films toe to toe, in three categories. Last round was action, and that was where Captain America: Civil War took a win! So will Batman V Superman win this time around, or let Marvel run away with an easy win?

First let's begin with Civil War this time around, the story of Civil War was basically a smaller scaled version of the Civil War comics, which was a massive Marvel Comic Event. It manages to coherently juggle all the characters, in the story, with some plot twists along the way. The problem is that there are too few plot twists, and SPOILERS! No major or supporting character dies! This was the biggest let down of Civil War, and in the final battle, I was just waiting for Captain America to die. I was just so sure of it!

But Batman V Superman is on a whole different level. It recycles story elements from the best comic book stories, such as the Dark Knight Returns, and threads them in a game changing plot. You have the social, mental, and physical war between Batman and Superman, as well as Lex Luthor pulling the strings of these two superheroes, and had a huge impact on the DCEU. And while there may have been a few plot holes, it was a coherent plot that manages to beautifully captures what it means to pit superheroes toe to toe.
