Rick Riordan Rant Part 1

For these past months I have been sitting on this poisonous sapling about Rick Riordan and the things he's doing these days. Welcome to a new HBB Reviews Rant! Rick Riordan Rant Part 1!

Now on October 4th 2016, the second book in the Magnus Chase trilogy will debut in bookstores across the world, and this makes for a perfect time to launch a rant against his literature universe! Now, I looked on his Amazon author page and apparently there is a Son of Neptune graphic novel in the works over at Disney Hyperion, now this is what threw me over the edge. The Percy Jackson universe is stretching far too long! It's quite simple, we as the people who buy the Riordan books and read them in a day or two is showing great readership to an author the likes of which we haven't seen since the Harry Potter series, but what that does not signify is that you just spam these books out!

There have been FIVE companion books for each of the series and none of them have been very inspiring companion books that act as an excellent extension of the storyline like what the Hogwarts library did for the Harry Potter series, and even worse series after series are being spammed for one purpose...money! That's not what you do for such a loyal legion of fans! You give them solid and good content to add to the Percy Jackson book universe canon! Both Magnus Chase and the Trials of Apollo felt far too similar to the Percy Jackson series and the Heroes of Olympus series, even if they were both enjoyable! In part 2 we will discuss what Riordan should do about this situation!
