Yes, I said Philosopher's instead of "Sorcerer's," deal with it. The movie reviews of the Harry Potter franchise are beginning and starting first with Philosopher's Stone. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is an amazing and magical film experience that sinks the viewer into an amazing world but pulls out the magic due to a bit of a poor performance from younger actors.

I love cherish the first Harry Potter book, and I do the same with this film adaptation. It is a magical experience, that captures the tone, essence, and feels of its source material in this case, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone written by J.K. Rowling. It is so like the book, it is almost bizarre to think that we would receive films like Insurgent and the Lightning Thief these days after this near perfect example!
The score of this movie is quite simply spectacular, with some of the best themes being "Leaving Hogwarts" and "Harry's Wonderous World." A tune which I listen to every single day! The performances is where things get a bit dicey, especially with Daniel Radcliffe's. I'm am not criticizing his actual performance but more so of the lines, which repeatedly stated the points of the plot over and over again, to the point, where I felt it was a bit necessary to hit myself over the head with the book. Score: 9.1 out of 10. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is an amazing film experience, bound into a dire and magical world full of fun, adventure, and pure magic by an excellent and classic score alongside an amazing and standout cast! Can't wait to review Chamber of Secrets!
