Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a riveting adventure that brings together some of the finest work from director Alfonso Cuaron for a truly magical experience.

This movie actually takes a step farther from the original book than any of the Chris Columbus Harry Potter films. Many fan favorite scenes such as the Quidditch Final were cut in order to let more screen time dwell on the time turning experience. Also the transitions from scenes to scenes feel unnatural in a way, with the nearly obnoxious fade to black transitions. But these annoyances fade away into the shadow as the audience discovers the unfolding and sometimes shocking events. Score 9.6 out of 10.
