Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is an action packed, magical, and thrilling adventure that makes for one of the best films in the series.

The film probably does one of the best jobs of adapting the original source material as I have seen in the entire series. Instead of going dark and grim at every story element, it uses the elements as comic relief for example the Yule Ball. Another part of this film that is the best in the series, is the action sequences. The Triwizard Tournament makes for three action sequences that are amongst the best of the series. However one missed moment was the Quidditch World Cup sequence, that fact that it was overlooked so easily makes it seem almost lazy at times. The tone isn't too dark, but the relationships and conflicts between Ron and Harry are a bit rushed and even out of place. However, despite these flaws, the film is the second best in the series, due to epic action sequences and an adaptation that turns the third longest book into a film that is spectacular in almost every sense of the word. Score: 9.7 out of 10.
