FB 17 Days: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Movie Review

In 17 days, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will open in theaters! To celebrate, we will be reviewing Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth installment of the iconic film series. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a satisfying chapter in the series but unfortunately falls short of previous and future chapters due to a poor representation of the love stories in the chapter.

The film is a great adaptation of its source material when compared to other book adaptations. However, instead of bringing a comical side to the love stories in this chapter of the saga similar to Goblet of Fire, it takes it far too serious. It quickly becomes the focus of the film which is a bit strange and out of place. But, it has a tone that is dark and dreary, an appropriate tone for the story. Overall, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a satisfying installment that unfortunately is a bit short of other chapters. Score: 9.0 out of 10.
