The Batman: The Script is a Mess?

The Batman has been getting a lot of attention recently, mostly negative though, and today is no exception. According to Bret Easton Ellis, who had a dinner with executives who knew the other executives that were working on The Batman, the script is a mess and WB doesn't care!

There are many things this could mean. First of all, these rumors could be untrue since The Wrap's Umberto Gonzalez debunked these rumors earlier on Twitter. Second, these rumors are true and what is one of the most anticipated DCEU films will turn into a big flop and only exists for money. Hmm, sounds like another Batman film. Cough, cough, Batman and Robin! Thirdly, and this is the most likely, the script just needs some tweaking and currently isn't in the state the Affleck or the people on the film want it to be. We know that Affleck wasn't happy with the script and was working on it when promoting his most recent film, The Accountant. But what I am going to do is take it all with a grain of salt. The film is so far off; it seems so weird and outlandish for these rumors to be coming out NOW of all times!
