Batman: The Telltale Series Episode Four: Guardian of Gotham is a riveting, satisfying, and extremely intriguing episode that makes for some of the best of Telltale's choices and their legendary storytelling.

The episode kicks off straight where episode three left off. Many were speculating that Arkham Asylum will take up almost the entire episode, but it takes up relatively a third, which I appreciate since there are many things to wrap up before the season finale, which this episode does mostly. The action sequences are well choreographed as always. However, the growing tension has a bit of a weak pay-off, and in fact this episode removes some of the tension that will explode in the season finale (which this episode does not tease at the end). Fortunately, there is a Bruce or Batman choice in the episode and the final choices you make are probably the most impactful choices you will make in the entire season. Personally, this is my favorite episode in the series, since it explores new areas in a story that is both refreshing and familiar. Score: 9.5 out of 10
