Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Broadway: Release and Theater

The release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Broadway has been desired greatly by many Harry Potter fans who are yet to experience the play live. But according to Sonia Friedman, the play is currently in the final stages of getting a contract to open in The Lyric Theatre. The Lyric Theatre will be remodeled to a specially designed 1,500 seat auditorium theatre for the Cursed Child. The play is expected to open in spring of 2018, nearly two years after the play debuted at the West End Theater.
