Rogue One: Expectations and Pre-Score

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is officially out and I will be seeing it today. An official review will be appearing later as well, but for now, post-reviews, these are my expectations going into the film.

First I expect amazing action and visual effects. Across the board, the third act of the film has seen universal acclaim, even by those who didn't enjoy the film as much as others did.

Second, the characters. Apparently, the characterization in this film is rather poor with some poor lines for certain characters.

Overall, I think I will enjoy the film as a fun action film. I don't expect a gripping story but rather a big, Star Wars film. If I were to predict a score I will give for the film, it would be a 7.9 out of 10. But we'll see if the film falls short or dominates that prediction.
