The Crab with the Golden Claws marks the beginning of the Golden Age of the Tintin series, with the introduction of a classic and comedic character with an amazing Tintin experience that is one of the best in the series.

If you do not know yet, there is a brand-new character introduced in this book, under the name of Captain Haddock who makes his debut in incredible fashion. He quickly becomes the star and Tintin becomes the backdrop, which I'm fine with, because Captain Haddock is much more interesting and hilarious. The story is probably the second best in the series and is incredibly fast-paced. The first two acts zoom by and takes less than a half of the length of the book. The art is great as always and as a collective whole, it's an amazing experience. Another character is also introduced; he made a cameo in Cigars of the Pharaoh, which is Allan, who is probably one of the most memorable villains. The only issue is that one of the themes in the book is drilled on, a little too much, which is drunkness. But still, it's an amazing experience that is my second favorite in the entire series. Score: 9.5 out of 10.
