The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical First Listen

I had neutralism when the musical was initially announced, but after listening this I have one good thing about it and a negative thing too. The good thing about it was that the lyrics felt like a true adaptation of The Lightning Thief. The bad part was that the idea of a musical turns from ludicrous to extremely insane. First, the concept of Percy singing is more ludicrous than ever and also covers any sort of respect the lyrics had for the source material. The song itself is out of place and doesn't fit with the Percy Jackson tone. Any sort of excitement I felt now just went in the drain.
