The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical Impressions (Rant)

Today, Rick Riordan announced that The Lightning Thief will be made into an off-Broadway musical. Here are my impressions.

My first impression was WHAT?! The idea is so ludicrous, especially for the source material its adapting. Can you imagine Percy Jackson singing on a stage? Can you imagine that? I just cannot imagine that. Apparently, it was originally a free to see musical and since it got rave reviews from the fans, they have decided to make it an off-Broadway musical. In my impressions, the stretch of this musical nonsense to every single thing really needs to stop. We've had Flat Stanley, now Percy Jackson, and before you know it, we'll be seeing a Harry Potter musical. Here's the thing, I'm willing to give it one chance. I'm willing to give this thing, one more chance, before I'm ready to chuck it into the drain. So I'm staying neutral on this, I still think it's a ludicrous idea, but maybe they can do it.
