The Shooting Star is an inferior experience to The Crab with the Golden Claws but that doesn't stop it from being a great globe-trotting experience full of danger, suspense, and heart-pounding action.

The Shooting Star is excellently paced. It sets the tone nicely and carries on, gaining speed with each passing event. Captain Haddock makes a star appearance, one of the best in the series, and Tintin and Snowy and all returning characters are great as can be expected. It's the most expansive story in the series, with a globe-trotting adventure. The only issue was that it felt a little bit too short, but you'll want to re-read it so it totally makes up for it in that. Score: 9.1 out of 10.
