The Seven Crystal Balls is the most sophisticated and fast-paced Tintin story in the series so far, compelling its plot with ease with plenty of humor, characterization, and suspense to please all Tintin fans.

Like the other reviews, I won't give away the story but just know that it's scaled massively and is the most intellectual story in the series. It's a true mystery, and once you, the reader, come to a solution the band of characters also come to the solution. The plot moves at such a rapid pace, it almost becomes too fast. With such a sophisticated story, certain details get glossed over, but that just adds to the intellectual side of things. It assumes you're paying attention to every detail in the story and art. The art is great as can be expected. The ending is a little bit unsatisfying, but it perfectly sets the groundwork for the next Tintin story, Prisoners of the Sun. Standing on its own, The Seven Crystal Balls is sophisticated, thrilling, intellectual, and the most emotion driven story in the series accompanied by authentic art, makes for a collective and truly amazing experience. Score: 9.3 out of 10.
