Flight 714 has the trademark staples of the Tintin series, but adds obscure elements to the table that isn't exactly for the best.

By far, the worst gripe of Flight 714 are the obscure elements. I won't spoil what it is, but once you read the story, you will tell what it is. It feels out of place and stuffed in, and as if it was Herge's attempt to revert the Tintin series to Science fiction. I'm also glad, that the idea failed miserably. But, there are plenty of good things to say about this story. It's more focused and takes place entirely on an island and is similar to the tone of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, where you discover the story for yourself alongside the characters. It has all the memorable staples of the Tintin series and makes for a Tintin story that is both enjoyable and great. Score: 8.2 out of 10.
